The build up isn't for this year though. Its for the future of the team over the next several years. Rangers are always on tv in Austin.
This is as excited as I have been to watch a Rangers team since the club came to Arlington stadium. They are young and play with the kind of intensity that is contagious. The manager is to be commended for setting the tone.
Their recent opponents all have been glad to get the heck out of Dodge. This team is tough and if they can get even mediocre starting pitching look out.

yeah i know...the pitching makes it painfully obvious. but i'd still like to see the beginnings, a la the mavs in the late 90's and early 2000's.
which makes me remember when i thought to myself, "who the hell is dirk nowitzki, and why are we giving up cheeseburger traylor?" the mistakes of a young middle schooler.
